Trade Stock & Options - Trading Pro System

I recently came across this Trading Pro System training course, and I can only say that I am impressed. As you would know from reading the rest of my site, I favour short term trading based loosely on a swing trading strategy. This course fits so nicely with my philosophy that I feel compelled to bring it to the attention of my readers.

What is the course about?
The Trading Pro System course teaches you the mechanics of a stock and options trading system. It starts off with the premise that trading is not a hobby or sideline, but a business. As with any business, you need to measure your performance by the return on investment; you need to manage risk; you buy a sell products (in this case, stocks and options) and you have a business plan (or investing plan).

The second thing that I really like about this course is that it does away with tons of highly complicated material on tehnical analysis. In my own approach to trading, I constantly harp on the fact that overcomplicated technical analysis leads to analysis paralysis, and to mistakes. This course focusses on trend analysis, and matches that with support and resistance levels. Apart from that...nothing! Just for this fact alone, I consider the course worthwhile.

One of the aims of the Trading Pro System is to build up your confidence in trading. By giving you the clear support of a business plan and clearly identified strategies, you do not need to break into a sweat about making the right decision. The trade is either going to run...or it isn't.

Finally, I believe that a musician can only play his instrument freely and creatively if he has mastered the basics such as scales, arpeggios and chord system and has an understanding of how music works. In the same way, you do not need a pre-packaged robot like system - you need to understand how the system works. This course gives you that understanding, and so sets you free to trade.

What do you get in the course?

In a total of 41 videos (which can be streamed or downloaded), in more than 24 hours of teaching, you get the following modules:
- introduction to trading as a business and trading with confidence;
- understanding the numbers, including the Greeks;
- trade selection and strategy;
- how to build your portfolio;
- an introduction to ThinkorSwim (the broker I use!);
- portfolio management, adjustment, and refinement;
- the art of making adjustments;
- closing positions;
- technical analysis;
- advanced techniques and explosive wealth building strategies (five important strategies detailed).

When you buy the course, you get two bonus strategy videos (two hours), an e-book, 58 vidoes on back issues of Daily Market Review, and you get membership to the monthly trader alert service.

After all that, what does it cost?
This is what amazed me. With all that material, videos, strategies, training included: It costs US$197. That's it! That is so ridiculously cheap for the quality of training that even after doing the course I am scratching my head trying figure what the catch is. I have seen similar courses that start at around $3,000, and even go up to $10,000. Live seminars have similar costs - but none of them present anything more detailed than what you get in this course.

Get the course, spend a week studying it, and throw up a trade. You will get the cost back on your first trade. Or, I will eat my hat after you have passed it through the sewers of Paris.
